An email from Lewis Linson with this photo of the seventh grade at William Robinson. Sharp guy that he is. He remembered most and included a list of names. I'm still playing with the photo, adding names to the image. I'll post it later, but thought I'd see if I'd get a list or two from others.
Wonder if there are other grammar school memories out there? This should be our first grade's 60th reunion. Aargh! I'm not THAT old!

I went to William Robinson in the 5th grade and I recognize several people; Minta McDiarmid, Bubba Johnson, Mary Lehman, Nelda Harmon.
Dolly, We are missing names for two girls on second row. From right: 1st and 4th. Any ideas. Glad it's a fun memory.
Judy, I spotted those, too, and others as I began to use Lewis's very good list. You'll know lots of others when I post the full list!

Annette, maybe this is right. On the bottom 2nd row of girls starting on the left is Lynn Taylor, Minta McDermaid, the 5th girl is Boyce Ficklen, On the top 2nd row of girls the 1st next to Ms. Asserson is I think Martha McDaniel, then the 4th one is me, Dolly Fortson, then Ruthie Jarrett, Marie Croft, and Bubba Johnson. I'm still looking hard. Iknow most of the boys, am sure you have their names by now. How exciting. thank you so much. Can't wait to see all of their names.

I didn't attend William Robinson, I attended Joseph R. Lamar, and I've lost all my old class photos like that one.
I hope someone who went to Joseph R. Lamar will send in some class photos.
I don't recall all my teachers' names... but there was Mrs. McElmurray (1st grade), Mrs. Goodell (3rd grade),
Mrs. Wallace (4th), Mrs. Thompson (5th & 7th)
and Mrs Bostick (6th, I believe).
I do have one group photo from Miss Fowler's Kindergarten class that I'll send, when I locate it.

In the William Robinson photo, Boyce Ficklen is sitting next to Mildred
Jeffcoat, that is starting from the left ( Lynn Taylor) on down. She was a close neighbor of mine all through school and came to our house on Milledge Rd., she lived on Cummings Rd. The girl in between Boyce and Nelda is Margaret DeVaughn I do believe.
I took Mrs. Price's social dancing classes with Bubba Johnson in the picture. She passed away many years ago. A very bubbly sweet person that everyone liked. Paul
